He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.
We all know the story- we've celebrated before. How do we make this Easter a little different? How do we hear from God in a new way? How can we celebrate this day with the true joy that it deserves?
The Bible says, "He is not here; He is risen, just as he said." I love the second half of this sentence. "Just as He said." Jesus knew what He was doing. He knew how His time on earth would end. The battle He would fight. How He would reign victorious over death. He tried to make His disciples understand what was coming- He made proclamations and promises to them. He tried to tell them.
When Jesus rose, and they saw that it was true, they said wow. He did it. Just like He said He would.
Join us in reminding yourself this month of all of the promises our King has made to us. How many of them do you really understand? Do you remember them? Do you know what they are?
Join us in attaching this phrase to the promises of our God when you see this on your phone screen. I am loved, just as He said. I am enough, just like He promised me. I am not a slave to fear, just like He told me. My salvation doesn't depend on me. Just as He said. Seek Me, you will find Me. Just like He said I would.
His promises are true. His promises are sure. Let him tell you the truth—use His words to help you believe them.
He is risen, just as He said.
