Damascus by Hannah Jessen Conway

The book is far more beautiful than it shows online.

This Advent devotional is absolutely stunning! The rich red velvet cover with gold lettering makes it such a beautiful addition to my bookshelf. I’m really looking forward to spending time with it this Advent season!

The devotional is thoughtfully organized around the four themes of Advent: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Each section begins with an introduction to the theme and a prayer to help prepare your heart. The daily readings include Scripture to focus on, a deeper reflection on the theme, and a thoughtful question to encourage personal reflection and application.

I love how the book combines the beauty of the Advent season with intentional time in Scripture, prayer, and reflection. It feels like such a meaningful way to slow down and prepare our hearts for Christmas.

I think this is my fourth order from HR this year. Love for myself, love even more for meaningful gifts for friends!

Product is physically exceptional, beautiful hardback book cover is like Red Velvet with gold embossing! In glancing through the content I look forward to celebrating Advent in it!

It is just what I was expecting!

This book is so beautifully made. I can’t wait to begin working through it!

This is a beautifully written study that marries the traditional Advent story with Paul’s journey. It’s a warm and inviting read that will have you coming back year after year and gleaning new encouragement from it every time!

From the moment I held the royal red velvet and gold cover (a gift fit for a newborn King) I knew I was in for a journey like no other. This is not your typical Advent devotional. Hannah beautifully weaves Paul’s story with our own, making it personal and applicable to readers today. Jesus’s birth makes it possible for Paul and each of us to be re-born, and that is the true meaning and Gift of Christmas. Not only is this devotional packed with scriptural promises and truth, gorgeous colors and artwork are a delight for the eye.
