Beyond Egypt: Learning to Walk in the Freedom of the Exodus is a 7-week inductive Bible study devoted to help you discover how the narrative of the Exodus points to Christ and the gospel.
Over 7 weeks, you will discover how the narrative of Exodus is not just a historical story of the people of Israel but ultimately is a signpost to Christ and the gospel message. Understanding this connection between the Old and New Testaments will deepen your knowledge and love of God while teaching you how to let theology impact your daily moments in life. Upon completion of this study, you will be in awe of how God has rescued us in Christ and calls us to live beyond our slavery to sin and into our freedom in Christ.
This immersive 7-week study is beautifully designed to engage your heart, mind, and hands. The initial four days of each week reveal the character of God with an in-depth exploration of Exodus and how it points to Christ. I did this study with my discipleship group. We loved it because it was a study that caused us to slow down and ponder and dwell on the connections between the Old and New Testaments, and what things God promised to Israel in Exodus that we still have today through Jesus! There were some questions that had correlating verses that did not match or were a few verses off, but if you read the whole section of scripture for the day, you will still have the answers and know where to look. Overall, great devo!!
This Bible study drew me so much closer to God. I now have a deeper understanding of the word, how things in the old and New Testament are intentionally connected, and His love for me. Thank you so much! Buy this Bible study, you will not be disappointed. The only thing that could make this better is completing it with a friend. :)
This could not have been at a more perfect time to go through this study. The wilderness has been so much of my story after leaving Mormonism with my husband and kids then later heading into missions. Yet this time around it has been a wild season of learning to trust the Lord by trusting in his character through hardship with health and sickness. I’m still in the unknown with so much but trust Him to continue leading and providing. Highly recommend to anyone.
This Bible study was such an amazing way to dive into scripture! I thoroughly enjoyed walking through Exodus, being reminded of God’s character, & seeing what the Lord stirred in my heart. Kari does an exceptional job tying in the book of Psalms, giving a variety of options for readers to implement what they learned into their everyday lives, & sharing encouragement for all. On top of all that, the book itself is beautiful! I cannot recommend this study enough!
I've studied the book of Exodus before, but this particular study significantly enhanced my understanding! I'm grateful for both the study and the leader's guide. Going through it with a group of college girls was an amazing experience! The thought-provoking questions sparked great discussions and brought our hearts closer to Jesus. It's a fantastic study to do on your own or with a group. If I could give it 10 stars, I would!
I’ve studied Exodus multiple times and to be honest I was unsure how much I was going to get out of this study… boy was I wrong! Kari is not only intentional about helping you know the scriptures, but also wants to help you know the God who wrote them. She does a phenomenal job of walking you through both of these things as well as giving you tools you can continue to use once the study is complete. You will not regret your time spent in this study!
This study is jam-packed full of things I had not seen before when reading Exodus. This study interweaves the rest of the Bible as one big story, the way God had intended. I can get into the details really quickly so this really helped me take a step back and look at how consistent, omnipotent, and gracious our God is. Through the Psalms, making connections to Jesus, and diving in deeper to the stories of Moses - This is a great study for anyone to see the Bible as a whole story and gain practical ways to live it out. The way Kari wrote this study is beautiful too; it reads as though she is studying right there with you. Highly recommended!
