I received my beautiful ESV Hollis Bible in the mail today, I was so excited to get home to open the box. The Bible is so pretty with the fall colors (my favorite season). I love the feel of Bible, the gold script, the large print, the quality space to journal or take notes. Even better in person. I’m really excited to dive in to my new Bible as beautiful on the outside as the life changing words on the inside. Amen.
I wanted to love my Bible so much! I read my other Bibles daily, write in them and doodle. I was so excited to receive it! Then I saw it was printed in China, which is disappointing and not disclosed on website. Also, the pages are VERY thin! I tried to put on the beautiful book tabs I bought, which was a disaster, several pages tore in the process. Initially I was going to return it; but would have had to pay for shipping it back and they had the discretion on whether or not to process my refund in total (minus my payment of shipping both ways). VERY disappointed to say the least in quality of interior of the Bible. I do not believe it will hold up in daily use and note taking or drawing. If you want a beautiful Bible to sit on your coffee table, this is it. If you want to use it every day, wouldn’t recommend. I have Bibles I’ve used daily for 30+ years that are still holding up great. All printed in USA.
I received this Bible as a Christmas gift 2 years ago, and it wasn't until last year I started reading it, I've been a Christian for 5 years now and have read many different translations and I stumbled across the ESV Bible and wanted it! This Bible is by far one of the best translations I have used it's also so pretty I love the verse on the back and I love it has plenty of room to take notes! Reading Gods word has been life changing! If you are looking for a good Bible to use I would highly recommend this one!! Thank you hosanna revival for such an amazing Bible!
I like that is actually lays flat when you open it, and the pages aren't super thin. It feels very sturdy, I'm excited to start using it for my quiet times!
