I have searched for something to relate with as a new mom. Nothing has come close to this book. The author is not only relatable, reassuring, and wise. But writes in a way where you feel like you are having a cup of coffee with a friend who truly understands the throws of motherhood. A friend who does not condemn but encourages you through the wild passions of a mother’s heart.
I have cried tears of gratitude within the first few pages of the Preface.
Highly recommended this book the new mothers going through the beautiful trenches of motherhood. This book is a true blessing and I have loved reading every page.
Motherhood is engaging, warm, and spiritually grounding. With a tone that is both welcoming and honest, it invites women to bring their real doubts, struggles, and questions while remaining firmly rooted in the truth and hope of Scripture. This book beautifully deepens a reader's understanding of God's design for motherhood and encourages meaningful personal reflection, whether read alone or with others. Thoughtful, encouraging, and gift-worthy, it's a resource I would gladly place into the hands of both seasoned moms and women expecting their very first baby!
Motherhood and the Good Life has the potential to be one of the most impactful books a mother could read. Many of us don't realize how deeply our culture has shaped our subconscious beliefs about motherhood and the role God has entrusted to us. Katie thoughtfully examines both our nation's history and our current cultural moment, then gently but boldly brings our assumptions under the authority of Scripture. This book is unlike any other I've read on the subject of motherhood. I felt seen, challenged, and validated. I truly believe it will bless and strengthen moms in every season of life.
Im excited to read this !!!
