Assigning a single color theme in each chapter was so unique. The paintings themselves are beautiful and some of them told me exactly what scripture we were going to be reading, even if I hadn't looked at it yet. I intentionally looked at the art before looking at the passages and was always tickled when the painting so specifically evoked a particular scripture so nicely. It's also urged me to engage more with my creative inclinations that I frequently put off because they feel like extra. The author has inspired me to realize that they are vital for those of us who engage with God this way.
