I can't say enough good things about "Just" by Brooke Jackson. The title alone says it all: it's JUST amazing, inspirational, and insightful. Brooke Jackson writes with a rare combination of biblical insight and humility grounded humanity. Her voice is down to earth and relatable, weaving narratives from her own life and experience alongside sound, biblically grounded perspectives that keep Christ at the center of every reflection. The way she explores justice through the words and actions of Jesus is both accessible and spiritually rich. And the time she allows for personal reflection allowed space for the Holy Spirit to reveal so many things that I had never thought to explore.
Because this devotional is thoughtful, challenging, and deeply encouraging, I was excited to read this book. I ended up buying and sharing several copies because I believe in its message that much. If you know anyone interested in being a better human, social justice, law, or simply following the example of Christ, this is a fantastic and worthwhile read.
