A sweet and thoughtful friend gave me this notebook because I lived in Casablanca for 4 years as a missionary and she wanted to give me something to remind me of my time there. The notebook itself is so well-made and the embroidery is really stunning, and I love love love that Hosanna Revival exists!
However... while the design is beautiful, Magnolia flowers are not reminiscent of Casablanca in any way. The city is full of vibrant, beautiful Mediterranean foliage, and if the cover was bougainvillea, or jacaranda blooms, or Lily of the Nile, or olive branches then it would make me nostalgic for Casablanca. But Magnolia blooms are native to the American south / east, not arid North Africa.
So my humble recommendation is to rename this design as the "Magnolia" design, and change the design of the Casablanca Bibles and notebooks to a more accurate flower. I hope the designers have a chance to visit Casablanca one day and be truly inspired by the amazing city it is!
