This devotional is my favorite that Hosanna has to offer. Liesl's writing style is so beautiful, it feels like I'm reading a novel! This book is also convicting, I truly wrestled with the ugly things in my heart in a really meaningful way. While it is convicting, I never feel shameful at the end of a chapter. The layout and length of every day is very manageable for a morning quiet time before work!

Unfortunately the font is very small and the text is too light! Future prints should be darkened for it to be read with ease. Charts inside are very difficult to read.

Absolutely adore this devotional book!!
Though I haven't used the book yet, the content seems nice at first glance, and I look forward to using it in conjunction with my Hosanna Bible. The cover feels nice--almost a nylon feeling--and the pages are a nice weight. It also seems well-written and straight-forward, and I love that she includes scriptural references throughout.
However, there are some typographical/design troubles and binding issues. As others have mentioned, the print is very small. Though I like the font, it is not stark enough, looking almost grey. The white type against the light coloured pages is also very difficult, even with perfect eyesight as I'm fortunate and blessed to have. I think the overall hazy, calming look could have been more saturated for functionality's sake. Aesthetically it's nice. Functionally it's tricky. The glue on the binding is very stiff, and it cracks everytime I open the book. Hopefully this will stop with further use without damaging it. As with my Bible, the ribbon was folded in and dented the pages (the pages are thick, so it only affected two pages).
I like what Hosanna is doing, so I hope that they can fix some of these details that will make their books more user-friendly.
