God Our Home by Katie Noble

I spent the past year in the “God Our Home” devotional study, a journey through the book of John that transformed my heart. With each page, I grew in my understanding of Jesus’ life and teachings, discovering how His presence weaves through the fabric of our homes and daily lives. The reflections and discussion prompts opened doors to spiritual growth, but it was the bond of community with the women in our group that truly brought the words to life. This study, best done together, became a shared tapestry of insights and support, enriching our walk with God.

What touched me most was how the study brought the book of John to life—how it made Jesus’ message accessible and deeply personal. It strengthened my faith, grounding me in His love and truth. “God Our Home” is a journey I carry with me, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to those seeking to explore Scripture in the warmth of community.

This gives a description of what this practice is https://www.anglicancommunion.org/media/253799/1-What-is-Lectio-Divina.pdf and on page four is shared a comment from a practitioner of it that perfectly states the issue "I find Lectio Divine occasionally inspiring and helpful but more often frustrating and annoying. The temptation to take words and ideas out of context, and not to pay deep attention to what the whole passage is saying, is just too powerful. We end up with shared meditations, sometimes valuable in themselves, but I don't feel that we are really sitting under the word". It is a practice trying to force an experience instead of sitting under the word.

absolutely love this bible study! it is so helpful in guiding you and is not cheesy at all! it takes you deep while also being restriction free and encourages you to keep opening it! i have found freedom and joy and peace in the way this bible study has guided me to relationship with the holy spirit and learning about Jesus. It goes through the book of john, but also takes you deeper by explaining and referencing old testament scriptures. it is absolutely incredible, and it is soooo cute which is definitely a plus when carrying it around with you! i love it and have already recommended it to my friends and family. love love love
