This just might be the best Christian book I’ve read…ever. You’re not reading a big fluffy book full of abstract concepts. No, these stories relate what we understand in the physical realm and tie that vividly to the eternal, invisible realm. These are words you can visualize in living color. Very easy to keep turning the pages and not left scratching your head wondering what you just read. I’ve learned so much already and made corrections to some errors in my understanding… and I’m only on page 65! Get a copy!
My husband and I were both so grateful to receive this book at such a time as this. With loved ones facing sickness, and many changes in life, things have been hard. Jordan describes a Heaven & Earth that precedes many notions we held as children. Heaven is our true Home, where we will love, work, and enjoy life in a way we cannot experience fully here.
I just finished reading "Heaven and Earth", written by my friend, Pastor Jordan Moody. I want to commend it as accomplishing the goal of its subtitle: "Awakening Hope for Eternity with God"! This was an encouraging personal read, and it would be great for a small group study. Here are some things I especially appreciated about it:
⭐️The emphasis on the Christian's final home being the New Heavens and New Earth, and the physicality of being resurrected in physical bodies. This will be a restoration of God's original creational designs!
⭐️Our future hope does not leave us daydreaming, but it drives our present joy and endurance. What we do now has value!
⭐️ The ultimate hope of heaven is the presence of God. We will be with him, and he will dwell with us!
⭐️ Appeals to the unbeliever - Jordan calls those who are lost to faith in Christ, returning multiple times to the gospel and explaining how Jesus is the one who secures the hope of heaven.
In the end, this is an accessible reflection on eternity with biblical references, reflection questions, and balanced answers to frequently asked questions.
