An 8-Week Bible study mining the riches of the Lord’s Prayer line by line

Download the free Week One Preview or learn more about the study

The Lord’s Prayer is a rich, beautiful example of how we are to pray as Christians. Jesus began this teaching by saying, “Pray then like this...,” so we would do well to heed his words. We know it’s important to pray, but it can sometimes be difficult knowing what or how to pray.

Join author Katie Noble as she mines the riches of the Lord’s Prayer one line at a time, drawing us nearer to the foot of the cross and teaching us a biblical language of prayer as we look to Jesus as our example. Push past any assumptions you may have about this powerful passage of Scripture and ask God to open your eyes to new and beautiful riches in his Word. Let it shape the way you talk to God as you learn to pray the Scriptures.

Pray Like This: Christ’s Guide to Praying the Scriptures is our best selling 8-week study on the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6 and is perfect for an individual or group Bible study. Each week features Scripture reading, questions for personal reflection, and an application sheet with a guided “ACTS” prayer model. This brown leather-like second edition features a fresh redesign with the same beloved content.

I loved this study! I felt the Lord has continued to press the Lord’s prayer on my heart and has shown it to me a multitude of times since starting it! I really recommend:)

Come back again and again

I have been through this study twice now and I plan to do it again. The first time was for personal study, and the second time I went through it with a co-ed group. I especially love the pacing of the study. Each week is only ONE line of the Lord's prayer- for a whole week. It provides so much space/ time to process and really uncover what the Lord has for you in each line. There is so much to learn-- I guess that's why Jesus gave us this prayer as a tool!

I LOVE the author's writing style- I would read anything she comes out with - I already got a copy of her next study God Our Home that I plan to read soon! She provides thought provoking questions for contemplation. I can't say enough good things about this study- it has been transformative to my prayer life, and the perfect study companion in times of drought.

Just beautiful!

I LOVED THIS STUDY! I'm in a small group with some other moms of littles, and Pray Like This was such a gift to us. The days of study are short (easy to do in about 10-15 minutes), which felt necessary for most of us who can't guarantee we will have time for much more than that. Although short, this study gave me truth to cling to and practical prayers each day. I loved going line by line through the Lord's Prayer and feel like I'm walking away knowing the love, power, care, and, provision of our Father so much deeper.

5 stages of Confusing

When this book came out, I was so excited for a rebuff on the Lords Prayer. And while the first few days went okay, and there were some practices that were very helpful, most (and I mean MOST) of the chapters I was so confused. I could not figure out what the author meant to say or what she meant for me to think. I would walk away from a chapter more frustrated and confused than filled by the spirit. Regardless, I pushed forward with teaching my small group this stufy, thinking “maybe I don’t understand this, but maybe the girls will get it!” Nope. They where loving some of the chapters, but most of the time we had to reword study questions or having to completely disregard a question because none of them (me included) could figure out what the author wanted to say. As a small group we eventually gave up and moved onto another study because it wasn’t worth it. I won’t be finishing the rest of this study (more than half is left) because it’s not that good.
I hate to leave a negative review, but I’m disappointed in the study. While I’m not a writer or a great thinker, I’ll put up with misspelled words or grammar mistakes, but a poorly constructed study to make a point I can’t understand, I don’t have time for. I can see that the author really loves Jesus, but I would be more interested in seeing a study that is worth my time and actually teaches me something.

The launchpad for a budding faith

Most of my life I had a deep struggle with depression, about a year ago I came to know the Lord. Unfortunately, I found that I greatly struggled with conversing with God, especially as a baby Christian. My prayers always jumped from one end of the spectrum to the other, short and un-meaningful, or lengthy and overly structured to the point of near script reading. While walking through this devotional I found myself not only learning the true depth of a prayer that for my entire life meant nothing, but also the power in prayer itself. I found myself conversing with the Lord with more frequency and authenticity. And as my prayers grew, the power in each word seemed to truly reveal itself to me. Years of bitterness and pain slowly but surely blossomed into an understanding I never thought I'd have and a healing I never thought I'd deserve. This devotional was a true blessing from God and I can do nothing more than thank Hosanna Revival and Katie Noble. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will continue to recommend Hosanna to friends and family and I pray that they will release another Katie Noble devotional soon!

Perfect!

Absolutely love how this devotional breaks down and goes through the Lord’s Prayer. Used this for discipleship and it provided a perfect guide to lead us without dragging things on or rushing through the Word!
